A MAJOR STRATEGY FOR REACHING THE ETHNIC FIJIAN AND FIJIAN INDIAN PEOPLES HAS BEEN THE SUCCESSFUL ESTABLISHMENT OF A NUMBER OF PRE-SCHOOLS.

These have proven a very effective method of evangelism. The community hold our pre-schools in high esteem with hundreds of children receiving first-class preparation for primary school. In 2008 pre-schools operate in Suva, Labasa, Savusavu, Daku and Sigatoka. An Australian curriculum has been adapted for local conditions with annual in-service training held for staff development.

Our Fiji School of Discipleship & Christian Ministry opened in 1994 with PNG missionaries Ps. David & Manoka Jaruga at the helm. Since the early 1990's more than 20 Fijian students have furthered their training at Bethel Bible College, PNG, including our CRC National leader for Fiji, Ps. Alipate Yagomate who with his wife Boila and their 3 children spent one year at Bethel gaining valuable cross-cultural experience. In 2008 we have 7 students attending our re-named Fiji Discipleship School.

Local churches have been established at Suva: Ps. Alipate & Boila Yagomate; Labasa & Daku: Samson Iliana Jeet; Savusavu: PNG missionaries Ps. Jennah Gwaibo & Susan Beni; Lakena: Indian missionary Rachel NV; Navua: Rusiate & Rebecca Bulamailagi; Sigatoka: Pritam & Faith Singh; and Lautoka: PNG missionaries Ps. Elijah & Beverly Umeume. Despite the frequent political unrest and economic instability of this nation, the spread of the Gospel continues to be God's instrument in bringing unity between the ethnic & Indian peoples.
